Harvey S. Firestone was a fourth-generation farmer from Columbiana, Ohio who founded the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in 1900. He is credited with revolutionizing the tire and forever altering the way we drive. Harvey dreamed of putting rubber tires on farm tractors and did so in 1932. Firestone is considered one of America’s iconic industrial leaders, and often kept the company of like-minded pioneers and life-long friends, Henry Ford and Thomas Edison. He had a commitment to being ”best today…still better tomorrow,” and those original values remain at the core of the brand and its extensive range of product offerings today.
